Stomping Grounds NE are looking for a supportive and eager apprentice to join their growing team as a Business Administration apprentice. If you have a passion for outdoor learning, children's development and a willingness to learn new things then apply now!

Role and responsibilities

Managing the main inbox and responding to staff, families, and customer queries clearly and promptly.

Maintaining the online booking system, including setting up sessions, monitoring bookings, and managing discounts and refunds.

Coordinating staff and site timetables, and keeping accurate records of staff, training, and appraisals.

Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and support for new staff, freelance workers, and volunteers, following safer recruitment practices.

Supporting the Finance Officer with childcare voucher schemes and other payment processes.

Helping with social media posts, website updates, and advertising new groups or sessions.

Providing in-session support to delivery staff and helping organise holiday clubs.

Delegating tasks and supporting other administrative apprentices, including training and mentoring.

Carrying out other duties that help the team run smoothly, as directed by the leadership team.

Required Skills

  • Organisational skills: Able to manage emails, bookings, timetables, and records efficiently.
  • Communication skills: Clear and friendly communication with staff, families, and partners.
  • Teamwork: Works well with colleagues, supporting staff, volunteers, and other apprentices.
  • IT and digital skills: Comfortable using email, booking systems, spreadsheets, social media, and website updates.
  • Attention to detail: Ensures records, bookings, and communications are accurate.
  • Problem-solving: Able to respond to queries, resolve minor issues, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Supportive and reliable: Provides help to staff and other apprentices and follows instructions carefully.
  • Positive attitude: Passionate about outdoor learning, children’s development, and contributing to a welcoming, inclusive environment.
  • Willingness to learn: Open to training, new tasks, and personal development opportunities.
