Benton Dene Primary School are looking for a hardworking individual who is eager to join their School as an apprentice caretaker. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is keen to get stuck in with a hands-on approach and earn a qualification alongside!

Role and responsibilities

• Support the premises team, staff, and pupils. 

• Help maintain a clean, safe, secure, and well-maintained school environment. 

• Assist with site security, including: 

• Key holding duties 

• Operating fire and burglar alarms 

• Perform lighting, heating, and cleaning tasks. 

• Operate and maintain plant equipment. 

• Carry out porterage duties (moving and handling items). 

• Undertake handyperson tasks as needed. 

• Work under the guidance of a designated staff member, usually as part of a team
