This is an amazing opportunity to join the team at Gateshead’s only Maintained Nursery School. We provide education and care for children from 0-5 across 2 sites in Bensham and Deckham. Providing support for children by: 1. Using skills/training/experience to support children. 2. Assisting with the development and implementation of support plans. 3. Establishing productive working relationships with children, acting as a role model and setting high expectations. 4. Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children within nursery. 5. Supporting children consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs. 6. Encouraging children to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all children in learning experiences. 7. Promoting independence and confidence to learn. Providing support for the Team in Nursery 8. Working with the team to establish an appropriate learning environment. 9. Working with the team in planning, evaluating and adjusting practice as appropriate. 10. Being responsible for keeping and updating records as agreed with the team. 11. Promoting positive values, attitudes and good social interactions. 12. Liaising sensitively and effectively with parents/carers as agreed with the team within your role/responsibility. Providing support for the curriculum by 15. Implementing agreed learning experiences/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses/needs. 16. Helping pupils to access learning activities through specialist support. 17. Determining the need for, prepare and maintain general and specialist equipment and resources. Providing support for the school by 18. Be committed to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children and young people. 19. Being aware of and complying with policies and procedures relating to child protection, behaviour, anti bullying, anti racism, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person. 20. Being aware of and support difference and ensure all children have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop. 21. Contributing to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school. |
