Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprentice

Ashfield Nursery & ELC

£11,778.00 - 30 hours per week

Working week: Varied due to the nature of the business

Support nursery operations by delivering engaging activities, maintaining a safe and caring environment, and assisting with daily routines. Build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents, while learning key childcare practices, safeguarding, and EYFS standards.

Role and responsibilities

  •  Be trained in the role of a nursery officer, supporting children aged 0–5. 
  • Contribute to high standards of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care. 
  • Support nursery staff and work as part of a collaborative team. 
  • Help implement daily routines and activities tailored to children's developmental needs. 
  • Liaise with parents and carers, sharing updates on their child’s progress. 
  • Deliver engaging play opportunities and learning experiences. 
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment indoors and outdoors. 
  • Follow EYFS guidelines, safeguarding procedures, and nursery policies. 
  • Assist with observations, learning journals, and tracking child development. 
  • Support children with SEND and promote inclusive practices. 
  • Ensure mealtimes are positive, social experiences and help with hygiene routines. 
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. 
  • Prepare for Ofsted inspections and contribute to maintaining a “Good” or better rating. 
  • Participate in training, staff meetings, and out-of-hours nursery activities. 
  • Carry out daily risk assessments and report any health and safety concerns. 
  • Rotate across age groups as part of training and development.
