Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship

REQUIREMENTS

  • Apprentices aged 16 to 18 at the start of their training are required to achieve Level 2 Maths and English qualification, or GCSEs C/4 or above to complete their apprenticeship, if they do not already hold suitable equivalent qualifications. For those aged 19+ at the start of their training study can also be funded up to an approved level 2 in English or maths or both, achievement is not mandatory and employers can choose to opt out.
  • 18 months on programme and 5-month window for End Point Assessment.
  • The potential apprentice is someone who manages teams and/or projects to achieve operational/departmental goals.
  • Suitable for the following job roles: Assistant project manager, junior project manager, project team leader, project manager or project lead.
  • Support from a workplace mentor, who can attend monthly reviews.
  • ‘Off the job’ training must be provided (348 hours)

ASSESSMENT METHODS

  • Taught session once a month at Gateshead Interchange.
  • At least 5 hours a month required during working hours, for the apprentice to write up evidence for the show case portfolio.
  • A log of training and development activities to be maintained.

APPRENTICESHIP ASSESSMENT

  • End Point Assessment will take place in the final 3 months of the programme. End Point Assessment will consist of:
    1) Compile an E portfolio of evidence.
    2) Manage a project, create a report and presentation.
    3) Professional discussion
