Content Creator Apprenticeship

REQUIREMENTS

  • Apprentices aged 16 to 18 at the start of their training are required to achieve Level 2 Maths and English qualification, or GCSEs C/4 or above to complete their apprenticeship, if they do not already hold suitable equivalent qualifications. For those aged 19+ at the start of their training study can also be funded up to an approved level 2 in English or maths or both, achievement is not mandatory and employers can choose to opt out.
  • 15 months on programme and 3-month window for End Point Assessment.
  • ‘Off the job’ training must be provided (348 hours)
  • Support from an employment mentor with monthly reviews.

CONTENT

  • Plan and develop creative content in line with the brief and budget costs
  • Interpret the strategy and objectives of the brand and align these to the content
  • Research, prepare and develop messaging to maximise audience engagement
  • Develop and create written content that can be used across a variety of media
  • Store content securely and methodically to enable efficient access and retrieval
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to plan and align content delivery with business objectives
  • Manage content online using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the content produced against the original plan and recommend improvements
  • Interact with clients, marketing and digital and production teams
  • Legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Ethical considerations
  • Wider organisational policies

ASSESSMENT METHODS

  • 1:1 meetings with tutor both in the workplace and through online meetings.
  • Observation of practice
  • Assignments and reflective accounts.
  • Employer feedback.
  • Some classroom-based sessions at Gateshead Interchange.

APPRENTICESHIP ASSESSMENT

  • End Point Assessment will take place in the final 3 months, dependant on learner progress. End Point Assessment will consist of:

    1) Project or campaign evaluation report, presentation of additional/new content and questions
    2) Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
