REQUIREMENTS

Level 1 Maths and English Functional Skills (not ESOL) or GCSE grade 3/4 or D/E or considerable experience in a school setting.
Must have been accepted on placement from a school of their choice. Placement must be for one full day or two half days per week.

Taught session at Gateshead Interchange weekly. Monday morning’s, 9:30-11:30 term time only.

Observations in the workplace.
Witness testimonies completed by mentor.
Professional discussions.

The costs of these courses will be met by the government if the learner earns less than £25,000. If the learner earns more than this amount the costs are as following: Award £336.00, Certificate £708.50.
